At Weizmann, our students do not begin standardized testing until 3rd grade. Each spring our students in grades 3-8 participate in a week of Educational Record Bureau (ERB) standardized testing to demonstrate competence in their core subjects in comparison with private and public school students in California.
Our students consistently score very well on these tests. Historically, approximately 70% of our 5th and 6th grade students score well above the 97th percentile in math, reading, comprehension, verbal ability, and writing mechanics. Their high scores have qualified these students for prestigious university-sponsored programs (for example, Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth and University of California, Irvine) designed to recognize academically talented youth.
